What carb and intake should I choose?

There's a lot to be said for simplicity. You'll need to figure something different for the choke.
Will it be as simple as running one of those temperature controlled vacuum switches that they used for the air cleaner diverter in older cars? It looks like if that wouldn't work an electric choke cover could be swapped on without much work. I haven't really messed with carbs that had the vacuum choke setup like that.

It's hot air, not vacuum that makes it open. You can probably convert to electric.

I have a stupid question: why do you need to run a marine carb? A car carb won't fit on a marine intake?
I don't really need a marine carb, the marine intake is the part I need to have.

There is advantages to the marine carb, but that's more for offroading trucks that get shook around a lot and run at odd angles. They are way more expensive than a standard carb and don't really give any benefits in my application.
