RED!

Dare to be different!

I see blue cars with red interiors on Facebook marketplace all the time....my first thought is "who the hell DOES that?"

I only do the blue/red combo for the hose ends on my braided lines.

I support the tricoat suggestion. I like the 95 Nissan QN0. Painted a couple of OT cars that color...

Or maybe go white and 2-tone the lower like the 82 Corvette or the old Laguna Chevelles in an accenting blue. Body line down and around the wells at the style line.

Use the new gm color WA626D or WA424C

Maybe you could have someone do some different renderings in the colors you are considering.

I’m a painter, and I’m going to spend hours getting the car straight. The last thing I want to do is put a color on that will hide all that, like white. It’s flat white dp90 right now and I like it, but it’s plain. I’m looking for something that pops, yet goes with the blue interior.
I was going to suggest white. My Lincoln has a tri-coat metallic white which was a $1000 option. It’s one of the best paint jobs I’ve had on a car. It looks great with tinted windows and a blacked out grill. Spraying that would challenge your painting skills.

Here is a silver one, just need to get rid of the white letters.

When I had to pick a color for a car I was painting I made an outline of it on my PC. Then used the the fill tool on a paint program to keep trying different colors. Each time I found a combination I liked I saved the picture and then started over. Once I had a few combinations I choose from those. I may not choose the exact rims yet but I would pick the finish of the rims, chrome, aluminum, painted etc.

You can go to Lowes and get books of paint chips for free. A mistake I made was that I did not check ahead on what was available in my state. Several companies would not ship paint to NY due to environmental laws. Also if on a budget anything with red in it cost more when having it custom mixed here.
