Don't you mean my future 87 442 that you're just a current caretaker for until we make some arrangements with your wife? 🤔Well, it's just that my 87 442 is teal metallic blue, so there's that. 🙂

we usually do half a dozen for customers to paint different pictures for presentation.I added 2 pics of the car. The wheel that are on there are going to be on there for a little while.
Despite the 86-87 color description that GM used your car is blue. My favorite for those years.Well, it's just that my 87 442 is teal metallic blue, so there's that. 🙂
Getting exterior/interior colors right can drive you crazy. One wrong color on either choice can make a car look like crap. I went through it when my wagon was being painted. Every time the shop tried to mix the factory fern gray it sprayed out a light green. In the end I went with a Nissan color. I wanted the closest match to the factory color with ultra fine flakes. I also wound up respraying all the interior plastics a color that looked better than the original greenish gray. All due to me having the seats, carpet and headliner redone. At that point I had a lot of options.
That being said, since your interior is already dark blue I would probably stick to some shade of blue or just leave it white. GM had a few nice blues back in the early 80s. Some folks think Im a little strange but I really like original colors on older cars. Just go on bing or google images and search for blue Malibus. There has to be a ton of pictures out there.
Boy you work in a high end shop. Where I work, they’re old school.we usually do half a dozen for customers to paint different pictures for presentation.View attachment 176442
