Seems more like you're giving that motor a false sense of security.
I think we call it an abusive relationship these days....Monday morning in the 64nailhead household (beats crap out of motor)....... 2 hours later (oh, my dear sweet motor, here, let me shower you with expensive petroleum products, I only do this because of love.... )

Cross-posting here (is it even considered cross posting if it’s from your own build thread?), but I don’t care. After 20ish years of waiting and wanting, the day is finally here.
Big block Olds aluminum cylinder heads, the newest redesign with all the upgrades.
If you’re a performance Olds guy, you’ll understand these improvements.
Actual proper fully divorced center exhaust ports:
Relief pocket for mechanical fuel pumps:
Fully assembled, ready to run with valves, springs, keepers, locks, seals, guide plates, and screw-in 7/16” studs:
Heat riser crossover passage eliminated, and raised intake runner floors for a better shot at the valves:
Improved smaller heart shaped 77cc combustion chambers:
Spark plugs angled towards the intake valve:
And weighing in at only 37lbs each, fully assembled. Compare that to 99lbs bare for a factory cast iron head.
I’ve officially died and gone to gearhead heaven.

Those heads are just begging for a set of either ARP head bolts or, and better, ARP head studs and the matching flats and nuts.
