What did you buy for your G-body today? [2024]

Was bouncing between them and the 304 SS Hooker set vs. 409 SS. Both 2.5” and I don’t need the catalytic converters. And with this style muffler I can have it in the side pipe area in front of the wheel View attachment 239343
that 409 grade is a lesser grade of stainless, its what you find on some later model rides.the 304 grade is going to be more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Couple weeks ago I found a killer deal in Market Place for 3 Draglites. Two rear 15x10 and one front(which I can’t use because of the brembos).
He was not sure of the backspace but $150 I could not pass up the deal. Worst case I’ll polish them and resell for nice profit.

They seem to be about 6.5 or 6.25bs haven’t be able to get a good measurement because of the massive 29/10.5w that on it.

Still had to test fit them 😂
Surprisingly enough if they were the right BS they would fit nicely with work the quarter panel lip.

That being said I think I might be able to use them with the correct tire. These 10.5w are super wide. Almost 14” of section width.

A buddy wanted to try a different compound so he gave me his old tires. Still have some life but mostly gonna be used for mockup.

Hoping to swap them out this week and test fit again.

Believe it or not, the 2.5”-304 SS Hookers are LESS! Scary I know. Could be that the cat’s up the price. PIPES has gone with California emissions as that is where they are out of and will not do a cat. delete unless you go 3”. I just don’t need that for what I have/ want.

Well it might be for mine or Jr.'s depending which one I grab, another NOS 25001138 tank sending unit. I already had one since I need one & not sure if Jr.'s is bad until we drop the tank so I figured it's better to have one for each. Then I also got another shift pattern cover for the gauge dash so both cars now each have a good one.

Ebay has the deal for tank senders mine came in the mail like tuesday'... with tax laid me back around 39 ...not to bad huh "...I did test the ohm-age with a poor ohm meter seemed to range from 2 full to 90 empty ....you have to reuse your old red lead wire just pull it off and push it on the ground rings hole is to big for the no 7 screw on the body ground so use bigger screw or double a smaller terminal eye ring over it is what I decided so far gotta get lock gas cap befor I slap it all together .No more plastic boat tank in the trunk area will be great !.. I can cram more project part's into that space baby"...but more like just let the existing mess settle towards the bottom more, lol already broke a door center vinyl moulding on half I wouldn't have took 50 for that moulding ...

I paid $140 to buy my own ducking door key back from a crooked locksmith. He found my old one (which I've identified by the bend and slight twist I personally added to it last fall), filed the finish off and tried to remove the GM logo. SUPPOSEDLY he miraculously found the correct K blank already cut in the bottom of his tool box (used), the tips of the ridges are smooth indicating no work was done to them today, and it fits my trunk, passenger door, and glove box perfectly- none if which are worn AT ALL nor would they accept the single SQUARE key he brought and modified to work. I kid you not, I even recognize the junk in the letter K as well as in the slots on the sides. This walking POS lied when I confronted him but $100 of the deal was cash and he was long gone when I realized it so I'm just screwed. The glorious part? I had to pawn 2 paint guns to get the money since I maxed out 2 credit cards buying (mostly) necessary car parts. I had some of those parts in the trunk and without removing the seat and latch paying a locksmith was my only option. I called 7 different ones before this happened.

And that is what poor reviews are all about! Rip a nasty gram out for a review and why. People do read them and see the type of people they don’t want to have do the job.
