What did you do at work today?

Working at IBM for a couple of days. They really need to spend some $ and update some really old equipment instead of having me modify it with new tanks. This isn't fun... add into account that I'm in a clean room so fully gowned up. Yuck

A few pages back the Duramax I worked on is done and paid for. It was expensive.

We took in a 84 corvette last fall for oil burning issue. Expecting it needed an engine rebuild we ignored it all winter since we were busy anyway. The other day it was time to get serious. Compression test, all equal. Had no blow by or vacuum in the crankcase. So I decided to do guide seals. Stand inside the front tires wells working over the top of the engine bay it was kinda easy and fun thing to work on. Don’t see much of the chev 350’s anymore.

On Friday I completed the classroom portion of my Commercial Drivers License course. I've got my class A learners permit with combinations and air brake endorsements, and my medical certificate. Tomorrow I'll start the on-road portion of the course.

Thursday and Friday I watched a guy paint cars, terribly. He’s new so it’s understandable. I tried to give him some pointers, but he obviously knows better than someone that did it for over 20 years. Trying to help painters, that don’t want it, is the worst part of my job.
It’s funny, I go into shops with guys that painted as long as me, or longer, are so much more receptive than the newer guys.

Im part owner of envy motorsports. I got the water meth hooked up on our SEMA jeep today! Now to wait on our tuner haha
