What did you do at work today?

I was on location at work and got the first wheel loader scoop of dirt on board, when a supervisor came over and said that they were going to shut down for the day because of the wildfire smoke. He said that it was at the 200ppm limit. So I dumped that one scoop's worth out and made my way back to the main laydown yard to park the truck, then came home, where I am at this moment.

You are a good man to put your client's welfare above your pocketbook. Three cheers to you.

thank you, if she does retain me I won't be billing her for the documents I prepare, photocopies or service of documents cause that is all done from the comfort of my office chair. I have not advertised for over 10 years and it is all done by referrals from judge, lawyers, paralegals and clients. What I chop off from client's accounts usually pays me back down the road. I have also had cases that have been listed on databases like CanLII that has helped me clients in town and out of town... that case was a nice one to win, my client had over 1/2 million $ in tickets outstanding and they all got tossed based on that trial...

Thursday at work it was suggested that the storage room in my bay become a break room and it's often been brought up in conversation that it's supposed to be an office. Well it started happening and with a few screws and literally picking threw the garbage at the industrial Park where the shop is I made it happen before lunch Friday. That's of course after I had my helper/ shop parts guy and one of the detailers clean it out Thursday night.

The desk and computer will go on the back wall and I didn't get a picture but there's already a parts counter under the back window for returns and such. My boss likes the idea I think mainly because I scrounged everything from the junk pile. What he doesn't like is we filled his van with old parts and equipment he's going to need to sort but that's not my problem lol KIMG1658.JPG
He's so happy with the results he went online and ordered me a fridge and a microwave. Even if I'm only here a short time I'm going to make it more enjoyable while I'm there. Next I'm going to work on bringing in the old small data liner that's rotting next to the building so when my car-o-liner is tied up I can still bang out the small hits without falling behind.

I tried to talk a prospective client to retain a paralegal in the area of where her case will take place. It's a 2 hour drive each way but she insisted that she will pay what it costs. Her lawyer for her civil matters told her to retain me cause he knows (her words) I don't waste time and I know what I am doing. I told her I'd have to bill her for a full day at a little over $200 per hour plus mileage but she said that's fine...I told her to think it over, I don't mind making money but I'm not the only that can do the job so I don't want her to pay more than she should.....
Your are a rare attorney. I deal with a lot of plaintiff attorneys in Florida. They don't give a rats *ss about the client. Just how much money they get get out of the insurance industry for them.

Dealing with getting people money due to Hurricane Laura. Lots of damage and total losses. Many have minimum insurance. Hurricane Sally losses coming in

My old day job.

Watch the whole series. From 2020 while the rest of us endured the longest March on record.

The second video is why I am now claustrophobic. Pissed off the TMC and he 'initialed my qual card'. As in he reserved the right to issue a spanking when I couldn't avoid getting that last signature for my dolphins. Had to touch the outer door at ahead full at depth. Very dark in there when they shut the door. Can't latch it, but the effect is the same.

And if you are a rocket scientist...
