Well my new helper that was hired Friday Slow Poke Rodriguez who came in 4 hours late Monday before going to lunch didn't show up at all today. So I finished his job and put a rocker molding on a Toyota sienna then I pulled the motor and trans out of the Honda on my frame machine

Because I have a used front clip coming for it tomorrow and I'll need to saw off the rails and towers
KIMG0195.JPG
KIMG0196.JPG KIMG0197.JPG
Then I started on another one of those fancy Nissan's did a tear down so I actually get what I need to fix it when I get it on the machine.

Maxima Altima it's all the same to me it ain't no Oldsmobile. After work I checked out the inside of an LS motor for the first time (I get it now) very stout bottom end design. And when I got home I did my Good deed of the day. One of the orphans from next-door came over because the firing pin in his gun was jammed. He's only about 8 so I fixed it for him on my kitchen counter. Now he can pepper the other orphan kids with Nerf bullets LoL

Day two back, spent the day transportng plow blades back to the main stock pile for summer storage just to have what management that don't get to work at home tell everyone to leave cause there was more than 10 people inside the fence of the site. Guys also started to take bets management will be cutting the number of of in half in two weeks cause we can't get work done with a limit of 10 together as a few crews have over 10 by default.

todays task was trying to remove efflorescence spots from 400 or so feet of retaining wall...... aaand I only got thru 12 feet total trying different combinations of technique. The wall looks decent in the first picture as it was still wet from being washed with the Turbo Tip. But it still drys cloudy and stained

4500 psi pressure washer and a Turbo Tip takes off the big stuff. Vinegar does SFA, 35% Hyrdrocloric Acid surprisingly only does a little better than vinegar other than it burns my eyes even with the mask on, Soda Blasting at 3500 PSI got me soaked and a bunch of sand in my eyes even past the face shield. I am down to my portable spot blaster at 100 - 120 psi. What a Hot Mess of a day that was

Yes it is / was. First picture is wall 1/4. I really need a setup like Clutch has been building but it's kind of a one off job to help out a client. It's not what we specialize in but at the right price I will gladly take on the work for the money and to keep a great client happy is a bonus. Just wish I could spray something on and come back in an hour to rinse it off

I made some small machines parts.
And some more.
Then some more.
And a bit more.

You get the picture, I’d take pictures but my phone’d be liable to slip out of my hands because I get covered in oil from head to toe.
I run Davenport screw machines.
And they are the absolute bane of my existence.

Well I've been laid off going on the 4th week. Go back on the 25th. Yesterday my dad came over and helped me install the motor and transmission in the Salon. So this morning I helped him do a small job. We poured a 40 foot slab for a nice family. Plus made some extra cash. We only charged him for labor fees. 20200512_123601.jpg

Your helper sounds like pretty much all of the guys we get.
Today we finished a car that belongs to a helper that I used to work with. Him and my boss made some deal since we were slow. Car came out pretty nice, even though it’s not my style. Much better than it would have if the kid continued to work on it himself.
We didn’t do the quarter panels or rear bumper.
