And this is about the the ultimate job I could aspire to. Right here.

I had to weld a $200,000 car together. My boss. "Try this welder I just bought" good thing I tried it on scrap first! I didn't bother to look at the bottle or regulator after I fixed all that I found wrong with the mig. Fired it up and man this thing welds like sh*t!

So..... One should never take a $25 welder from a yard sale and just fire it up and try it on a $200,000 car! Just food for thought

trying out these bluetooth earbuds with a mic that just arrived. They are cheapies (Soundliberty 79) on Amazon but they seem to work great and comfortable. I had to get them to use for remote hearings, all the courts use use Zoom except for one tribunal I appear at, they use Microsoft meeting but I wish they would all use the same so make it easier for me to learn only one application. I'm picking up a Gopro Black 7 to use for the video so once I get that I'll figure out the 2 applications. I have over 100 cases I have to go over real quick, the prosecutors set them all down for Oct 27 for pre trials but I think they are going to withdraw them all. They are some of the outstanding tickets for that tow truck bylaw case I won.....

Got up at 3:30, to get ready, met my boss and co worker, drove to IBM. Had meetings from 9am to 3pm, on our way home now. Hopefully back home by about 8pm. Ugh, long day. Especially after being in clean rooms for a few hours. The lights and air get to you after awhile.

And here i am today, packaging up a stainless steel stand and polypropylene tank we make to be shipped out. Wipe them all down, make the pallet, figure out how to secure it down, wrap it, etc. It's something different every day which is one of the things I like about this job.

Nothing. Took and passed my forklift field recertification test earlier in the week; that was actually fun but i am still out of the regular rotation and may never get back in unless Covid Round Two explodes onto the local scene and all the most senior of the staff with the correct point count for retirement decide to bail and leave us shorthanded again. Upside is that I have time to deal with the house and its needs, like a new roof and gas line for the garage. Downside is the budget and having to count pennies again. The mines want forklift operators but they use a way heavier unit and i would have to qualify on it just to be considered plus winter is coming and I do not want to be out in the middle of nowhere in minus 40 degree temps without the windchill. That just plain pegs the suck-o-meter for misery.
