What did you do at work today?

Ended the summer schedule & next week starting the winter schedule. Instead of having combined crews till Thanksgiving we'll be going to our shifts. I'm on the afternoon, 12 PM to 8 PM with OT being 8 PM to midnight. They say we'll be like this until April.

Just about ready to go. The first pic is to show the firewall that was painted by someone else. That’s the type of quality I started with on this car.

Unfortunately the car is pretty much assembled. The car was built somewhere else, primed, and jambed by someone else, which caused a lot of problems. The guy also brought his own paint, again more problems. My boss never does things this way, but he took the job on as a favor. I’ve been working on this car for a few weeks now, and it was supposed to be ready for paint. Once it’s unmasked I’ll snap a pic, but the hood and deck probably won’t be on. Personally I’d leave the hood off, it has a nice nailhead in it.

The cars been fighting every step of the way, but I’m really happy with the result. I’ll be even happier when I see it leave on Monday. I’m sure I’ll see it around at the local cruises. I’ve seen the owner around with his 57 Chevy pickup.

Jumped in the HellKitty at 0630hrs and drove into the office for the first time in months. I am actually seat at my desk for the first time since March. No I cannot show you... because then I would have to kill you.

Seriously it is just a desk, it is not that exciting and might actually kill you from boredom.

Had a great day at work Friday took Lauren to work with me she did her school work from my office with the attack dog by her side

Then she joined me in the shop for a little prep work/ training

And she got a lesson in blending paint and clear and some hack job edges lol

First lesson and even with a mask on you can tell she's smiling ear to ear

Then she dried off my next victim so I can throw some doors on it Monday morning

I think she just likes hanging out with Dad

Fixed some timing issues with a powder bagging machine
welded some fittings
troubleshot some issues with a milk clarifier
hydro flushed some stainless piping
helped replace a seal in a stainless rotary airlock
helped install a boot clamp on a powder conveying line
