What did you do at work today?

I really haven't done much today. Honestly I haven't done much this week either. I am leaving my current job the end of next week so I have just been finishing up any open projects I have.

Made this today.

Spent the last day with the winter crew & found out we're rolling right in to the 3 10 hr/1 7.5 hr work week (yea our union decades back made a deal for a "40" hour week just to include a daily unpaid half hour lunch. :doh:The state loves it.) Atleast I have three day weekends.

Finished installing 70k worth of semiconductor spinners in this tool. Fired it up and all is well at the moment. Now they have to program it and we'll see on Monday if it all still works LOL

Did a cheap repair for the boss’ friend. On the way home stopped at a local cruise and saw the 33 out in the sun for the first time. Pretty proud of the paint job I did on it. I was there for a few minutes and white a few people commented on it. Much more exciting than seeing a Toyota I fixed driving around town.

How much does a paint job run these days?

There’s a large range in cost. A simple scuff and shoot, would start at $3000 minimum. Once you add in r and it’s it goes up. Add in bodywork it goes up. Colorsanding the car to perfection it goes up. Where I work it’s all billed by hour, and it’s all documented. There’s really no other way when doing resto work, or you’ll lose your shirt.
