Nice. Looks like your shop likes to do a little updated style of car. Where I work they don’t understand why the owner of the 65 442 would rather have efi than a carb.

Got a kiss from a '57 Chevy p/u today.
I was WB Hwy 92, an EB vehicle waiting to make a left after I passed, second EB (57 p/u) lost control trying to stop, spun out and hit my trailer. Oh did I mention it was off/on rain showers? Well, I have pics, fortunately no injuries.

You might be thinking "didn't he just say that the p/u was trying to avoid rearending a left turning vehicle? Why is the damage on the passenger side?" Good question. At the point of contact, the p/u was full-on sideways. Hood hinges look like they are tweeked also.

He hit my #2 & #3 axles, damaged both rims. One is serviceable, the other scrap. Both held air though, so I was able to drive it back to the yard for replacement.

I was really bummed out for the other fellow. The first cop to show up, asked if we were OK, but also told us that we were outside of his jurisdiction, so he had to request that the State Patrol respond. In all, we were an hour and a half. I am sure that his day was ruined. My day was only cut short in a customer billing aspect, because I had to go to our head office for paperwork and rim/tire swap.

I'm sure it was... drivers door making contact with fender, pass fender sticking out at bottom but pushed under the hood up top are behind those aforementioned hood hinges, bumper bent on a non energy absorber design. Best case scenario it had a updated front subframe they can cut off and replace quick. Worse case is substantial frame damage. Almost looks a little like the clip walked a bit right to left, hood remained in place on firewall.

Then again, they chose to upgrade expensive headlights and apparently cheaped out on the brakes from the size of the rims so...

He did make a comment about needing to upgrade to disc brakes when they do the repair.

Saturday I did a brake job on an 04 ranger. Front pads, calipers, rubber hoses, and rotors. I also adjusted the rear drums. I bled the brakes once, pedal on the floor. I did it again with the power bleeder, then manually, same thing. I did it one more time and it was still the same. At this point I was ready to order a new master, but I wasn’t sure. I decided to to just take it for a spin to see how the brakes reacted. When I put the truck on the ground the pedal was perfect. I still can’t believe it. It makes no sense.

Submitted my last paper for Staff College today. 6 more weeks of "practical" work on operational planning and I am done for the year - possibly forever.

Tomorrow I have a job interview. Still military, into the policy world, and it will be my last attempt at saving the CAF from itself before it either goes full woke or it wakes up. At least I can say I fought to influence change through fairness and neutrality.

If you don't like what you see: write your MPP and MP, and have your say. Because it's going to be tough going to war with a spoon that identifies as a knife.
