Been watching what you all been experiencing for the last week or so. Don't know whose supreme deity you managed to p*ss off but between fire and rain, which sort of sounds like the lyrics of an old song by either Cat Stevens or Carol King, the only difference between music and reality is that you've get to experience the reality first hand. What's the prognosis for getting some of the highways cleaned off and moving traffic? Hear from the weather channel that next week is supposed to be more of the same; biased towards rain. Maybe time to build an ark?? Stay safe and dry as possible.

Supposedly , there will be an escape route north from Vancouver area by early next week, but from videos of the damage I find this unlikely
Lots of people stranded still from the weekend
One of my apprentices is stuck in Van cant make it home or to work so he abandoned his car hired a guy with a boat to get him to high ground and now the boss is flying him home so he can work Monday

Not sure. We had them back in August due mostly to the hot dry weather but not in wholesale lots. A swarm large enough can turn a highway into a greasy mess with their bodies.

Tedious, but at least not getting done in the rain, or the wind, or hanging upside down, or up a ladder, or inside an elevator shaft, or in the middle of a thunderstorm with lightning strikes, or up atop of a couple of sections of scaffold, or in the middle of a snow storm with wind chill and driving winds, or, possibly worst of all, with a supervisor hanging over your shoulder trying to "encourage" you to hurry up because he has a manager breathing down his neck because the client is whining about losing time and his business losing work.

Oh, yeah, forgot, or not on a weekend call in with your wife calling you every five minutes to ask when are you going to be finished 'cause "you promised we'd......................................(insert item to do here)..........................."

Oh the boss comes and checks about every two hours on the progress. This is for IBM and needs to be delivered to them by December 8th. Mind you, we still don't even have all of the parts to build it... FML
