What did you do at work today?

A pilot car would have been cheap insurance, but some people don't think very far ahead.

I haven't seen the accident report yet, only the aftermath at the bridge. Whatever hit it was gone by the time I got there. But based on the way it was hit and the damage done, I would guess a load, probably an excavator, got loose and made it self taller at an inconvenient time and place. This type of bridge hit happens fairly frequently. The inspection in the field was all overtime for me, and it happened on a Thursday evening instead of a Friday. So I had that going for me.
 
Went and took my CDL test yesterday and nailed it! A solid month of prep, plus years of driving non CDL trucks really had me ready, and it was cold here so the examiner didn't wanna be outside any longer than he had to be either!
My dad held a CDL with hazmat for over 4 decades, and he used to tell me not to get one since OTR trucking sucked! The last several years he changed his tune, just wish he was here still to I could've celebrated with him, but I know he's smiling down with pride!20211208_070749.jpg
