What did you do at work today?

took in another $748 retainer but all of the retainers I have mostly can't be touched until the courts reopen and the 50+ cases I have ongoing can be processed, plus I'm waiting on another 120+ plus cases that the crown claim they are going to appeal the trial I won that affects all those case.......

I could have worked today, but I didn't want too and I had to watch my kids because Mom worked a half day today. I convinced them next week would be better. It will be six hours of driving and probably four hours of work. I run this thing. I am a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. It used to be more fun fifteen years ago when it was big wrenches and sledge hammers. Now it is electrical problems and emissions problems. So laptops and multimeter is what I use the most. Flemming would love this sh*t!

I ran the same service truck for a couple years then swapped to an F550. I love the big truck except for the days I didn’t have lunch...372BD09D-8E6E-4537-9B17-0A55167CA960.jpeg65070318-8DBF-45C1-AF21-26794F8FE196.jpeg
While I miss having a real truck, I enjoy only having to work on engines now. Driving pin, swapping buckets and cylinders got exhaust quick. I did enjoy rebuilding valve body’s and pumps. Now for Cummins I have a damn Ford transit van... I come home a cleaner though. Lol

Built a 2019 Rogue (overhauled f&r bumper assemblies, installed fender liner, built 2 new door shells, installed new rocker molding, installed 2 new wheel flares), fixed a small dent in a Chrysler 300 fender and dropped bumper for paint, then removed headliner, old roof panel and prepped and welded on a new roof panel on a 2018 Hyundai Sonata. Seam sealed it. sent it to paint, and then it was time to GO HOME!

That is a spitting image of my truck! I know what you are saying. I work for a company that sells, services, and rents every make, model, size construction equipment. We are a dealer of like 50 different brands. We sell more John deer equipment than the John Deer dealer. We are a JLG dealer, a Kobelco dealer, a Bomag dealer. I work on man lifts too excavators in one giving day. I also have to know all the software for the engines. Dietz, Cummins, Hino, Cat, and Mercedes. I get a lot of variety. More than I want! That is a lot to learn and handle. The problem is lack of money and the pressure on us field mechanics. I often think about going to work for the Cat dealer. That would be easier, more money, but boring.
