What did you do to/with your chainsaw today

Did some work today, 261 out for some good cutting and the 461 slaughtered the bigger stuff.

Starts with 4-7 pulls cold every time. It’s been a good reliable saw with no complaints. I’ve changed the chain drive once and 2 or 3 bars - very tough to beat.
Mine hit in 2-3 pulls, all in the tuning.

I thought I was the only one who likes old chainsaws. I have a few Stihl saws for a while I would snatch them up when they were cheap and fix them for my little collection. My small saw is an 015 with a 12" bar that I really don't use much it needs rings so it's hard starting and quiet uncomfortable to use do to it's small size. I've got an 029 super that's like old reliable I think I've got an 18" baron it but it's never been apart and I think it to is ready for a rebuild I got it not running and put a new fuel line in the tank. I've used it quite a bit over the years with no issues. I've also got an 030 and an 031 just power heads but I've never actually tried to get them going there in a big box of used saw parts I got free a few years ago when the mower shop around the corner closed up. My go to and favorite to use is my 038 Magnum I've had that one a long time and it's the most comfortable to use. It's got a big bore kit and the hole saw has been rebuilt the exhaust is ported it's got aftermarket spikes and has a 24" bar then there's my big saw it's a 050 with a 36" bar it's heavy and sounds like a cr500 runs good but I've never used it because I couldn't find a clutch cover for it. So I never bought a chain for it. I'd give you guys some pictures but it's 22° out and I've got a g-body to go work on

my buddy posted this on facebook, and this thread is the first thing I thought of!

Nothing. Did, however, spend a little under three hours dancing with the snow blower.

AS for F*** F***, an exercise in futility fueled by frustration, fantasy, and ego. +100 on the above comment by Driven.

I am a menace to society on facebook lmao..

I had to drop a tree in my yard, was over the neighbor's house from the way it was growing so it was time to come down. First time I sunk my MS 362 into something and it went through it like butter. Excellent saw for medium stuff. 20" Yellow 3/8" Bar with Full Chisel Chain.

You definitely have some of the older saws. The 038 from what some have said is supposed to run really strong for what it is. I've seen the newer MS362 stock outrun the 036 so it makes me wonder what the 038 would do. Big difference with them older saws compared to the newer ones is the dampening system. Them older ones will rattle you.

Had a small tornado hit near a buddy's place, wrecked his neighbor's stuff a little bit. Half this tree was on the house. Put the saws to work. Amazing what wind will do.

Ran a few saws today as well as the neighbors with their stuff.
