Was poking around and learned barber chairing is a thing. Got me to thinking what else don't I know that I should before I go mowing down trees without killing myself? Above and beyond standard cuts, stuff to watch out for.

If you really run out of room I guess just leave the door unlocked and I can swing by, help alleviate some excess stock....My work bench in the basement that I use for working on saws was overflowing with saw parts, receipts, tools, books, saws etc. I finally had enough and decided reorganize the basement.
Moved the desk to the back part of the basement, which used to be a sort of guest bedroom but hasn't been used as such in years.
I hung a 4x8 sheet of pegboard, used some of the old bedroom furniture that was collecting dust to make a bigger bench and shelves. Put up some hooks for chainsaw bars to hang. Still need to add a light above the bench but it's a vast improvement.

Good video there, there's a few out there.
Yup that is one of the better videos. I've cut a few trees and every time they are all different.I've seen a number of how to do it right videos, but this does a good job explaining why the wrong way is wrong.
I've thought about putting that unlimited coil in mine, I'll have to get a Tach and see where I'm at in the cut under load. The last time out my new one was the same way, 4 stroking a little rich so I know it had more RPM in it if I lean it out.Did a whole bunch of cutting today with my 461, got all of these rounds quartered up and ready to split. Swapped the limited coil out for an unlimited coil from a 660, I have it tuned to about 14500 and it was still 4 stroking in the cut a bit.
