Finally pulled the dipstick on the TH350 I bought 2 weeks ago. Fluid looks/smells/tastes fine. Good enough for me.

A buddy of mine buys them by the dozen (usually free or dirt cheap), runs them till they blow up and swaps in another. Hes probably on transmission number 25 or 30 by now. He has removal and reinstallation down to a science.

They are light compared to the other3 speed transmissions.

There is less rotating mass and "spin" up faster than the other 3 speeds
