Bored as hell

I hate winter......but I think I hate my wife more since the only reason I have to deal with the cold is because of her!!!!

So anyway I went outside and pulled the cover off

Fine tuned the floor shifter, installed some new fender to rad support bars and started putting my dash inserts back together

Went to install the hood struts but realized I tossed out the part I needed like an *ss.

CHECK WANTED SECTION PLZZ!!!

Got to cold out .....now sitting here again.......

I put some new plug wires on the Bonneville to fix my cold miss and got my cobbled together cruise control system functioning.

If you have none of the factory bracketry available, a setup out of a 1992-1999 Bonneville will plug right in and can be remote mounted away from the engine.

Got a break in the rain, so I rolled the 80E back outside, had the wife help me transfer it to a furniture dolly I picked up this morning, and got to it with a wire wheel on my drill. Still not done due to new year's eve cooking (my queso, bbq chicken, etc smells amazing), but it looks better than yesterday.

Oh, and safety first....tired of blowing and coughing black crap up!!!!

I put the Bonnewagon up on blocks. i need to drop the no-leak perfectly working Saginaw 4 speed just so I can take it apart and fix the ^%$#@*&^ speedometer gear clip. Many moons ago I rebuilt and sealed up the trans and I put a new speedo cable in, carefully tie-wrapped it place, and then it got loose and layed up against the exhaust pipe. That melted the cable and stopped the gears which caused the tiny little clip that holds the drive gear in place to pop off (I hope). I've been putting this off for like 10 years and I finally have the time to do it but not the ambition. I'll probably rebuild the whole thing and it will be delayed by weather but, oh well.

Over the last 2 weeks I started the process of stripping my car for it's frame off paint job coming up. Also removed engine and trans with help from slowpoke. He wanted the engine for the bracketry on his build so to his house it went. I feel like I killed my dog. This car ran and drove fine and I tore it apart. I still gotta tear out the dash and wiring. The frame is going to get strengthened up, powder coated, and a LS bolted to it.

I found a second copy of the build sheet behind the drivers door panel. My car is a base model with absolutely no options. Bench seat, roll up windows, no power locks, no cruise control, nothing. Very simple car without all the extra BS that stops working.
