What did you do to your G-Body today 2024

Got the fiberglass reproduction rear bumper fillers painted and installed over the last week. They fit pretty well with not a ton of fussing with. The new / used bumper from Nevada is rust free but the chrome is weathered and nowhere near perfect but it is at least straight, presentable and a good candidate to be re-chromed.

Clever use of generic stuff to cleanly get things done.
Thanks! It secures the unit inside the box and if I need to adjust the vacuum setting I can just remove the vacuum hose to insert an allen wrench and go.

Dailying it as I've done the past 10 years. It's just an all around good fun driver.

Had you been closer to metro savannah I'd have said I could help out on that, but, youre a few hours away and that's not really an economical piece to ship due to both size and weight.
Yeah that is a few hours drive. But I can’t find any good ones locally yet and trying not to buy a brand new one because of the cost. But I’m not giving up just yet! Thanks a lot for the thought and the offer! That is why I love this forum!

Drove the cutlass to work again tonight. Starting to drive it more and more may even become my daily driver to work. It’s fun driving home in it at 2am! Sat in the car on break and just admired my gauge panel.

Well to be honest if I wasn’t working 6 days a week I might would make that trip one Saturday or Sunday morning. But you are more than welcome to go pick it up and bring it to me….

More sanding: more straightedge ,and more spot putty 'this is pass is number 8 I managed anouther pass over the same door ,after sanding and priming 8 there's no picture here for pass 9 : but I can say it's much improved from the 8th pass ( a pass is useing sanding filler and priming possibly working the metal slightly)...while some would prefer to use a thick layer of body glaze...I maintain the absurd contention that'... laying primer ,and red spot putty up in layers with block sanding and eyeballing while taking forever :...is probably"... every bit as reliable..got a lot done for half a day....
