What did you do to your g-body today 2025 Edition!

IT LIVES

A coil change, a few rerouted wires, and an extra engine ground strap and I think I have the issue solved.

I was still feeling pulses of electricity after the extra ground strap from a head to the main ground distribution block, but it wasn’t as intense as it was prior to that.
Now I’ll admit, I’m not the healthiest guy, in fact I’m susceptible to a rather embarrassing case of plumbers crack 😬
As I was handling a replacement coil wire, my inadvertently exposed region bumped the carport wall and I felt a slight shock. Not enough to hurt, but more like static electricity?

Either way, I moved the coil wire to be more perpendicular to the main harness rather than parallel, threw on some convoluted tubing and the arcing seems to have stopped.
I pray this thing stops consuming coils from here on out.

Installed this ebay radiator cover today, however the cutout around the hood spring isn't big enough and the spring gets caught up on it. Will have to cut it

Also, sprayed the MAF with CRC maf sensor cleaner, and damn it makes a difference. Car runs way smoother now.

You can charge even more if it has one of those lone basement toilets like in every house I lived in on North Side.
I'm still mad at myself for not doing it when my basement was all dug up, I thought that is what I had discussed with my buddy cause he had said I could end up putting a toilet in there if I wanted. But for some reason it is right next to the washer and dryer and not under the steps so wasn't the way I would have done it

I did end up getting the start screen to match to the rest of the unit's I run except of course the new one below it now doesn't allow you to change the boot picture

Could of done it like they did back in the day (just like a cat), where it fits it sits. The one house we had (built between 1895 & 1905) the toilet was right next to where the washer & dryer was set up with no divider or privacy. Even had a window so anyone walking between the houses can watch the magic as it was happening.

Got the lean part throttle cruise issue mostly sorted, may need to bump up the IFR on the primaries only. Don’t know if that can be done without issues, though.

I do know my goal to make a new GP console just got a lot harder however:

I was looking for some stuff in the storage shed and bumped it, it landed on an old fan and shattered like glass. 🥲

Regal
installed Forever Sharp steering wheel....horn still isn't working
got the template done for the trunk build...trying to decide how to route wires.

Monte Carlo
got a new mini starter (staggered)
trying to make the best of this massacre from the last mechanic.
Painted the motor, mocking new pulleys for fitment, a bunch of new parts waiting...car is going to paint, then I'll finish the engine bay. At least that's the plan for now. I'll take more pictures when it's running again.
