For sure! Speaking of lawn equipment, I'm still rocking a Shindaiwa straight shaft trimmer that was given to me about 10 years ago! It was used then, but still works great albeit a little heavy after 30 mins of weed whacking!

All of my lawn equipment except the lawn tractor are relatively new now that I've replaced the push mower. I bought a new chainsaw and straight shaft trimmer last year. I like Stihl, but I'm cheap so I bought Echos, plus my local mom and pop hardware store is an Echo dealer. They seem to work well. Better than the old Homelite chainsaw I was using and the off brand curved shaft string trimmers I had that I promptly threw in the garbage.

Agreed, Stihl makes great stuff, but they price it accordingly! If/when my trimmer dies I will get an echo as well. Pretty lightweight and they get the job done with little maintenance.

Rental. Ecoboost. Peppy. Does burnouts.

Natasha's Colorado is headed in to the bodyshop tomorrow. Should have lots of new bells and whistles by week's end.

I love stihl chainsaws I have several 050 038 029 and 015

I may go Stihl on the next chainsaw, just to change things up. Hopefully that's not anytime soon. I currently have an Echo CS-310 and it's small, but works good for what I need it for. It usually sits 6 months between uses and its always started on the second or third pull. It was slightly less expensive than a comparable Stihl, the MS-180.

I got my first stihl last year, needed a new lightweight limbing saw for the shrubs and scrub brush. Ms-179. Pretty good for what I use it for, wanted to try them with something cheap before a big ticket saw. (This year they're even cheaper, got an ad for $159 at the local ace hardware)

Have a thin chain, although, guess thats getting more common these days.

Starts pretty easy, relatively low maintenance but only ever ran ethanol free in it as well..

Last winter was hard. Had storms and snow take out lots of MASSIVE old pear and peach trees. Some of the trees were about 40 to 50 years old.

Well, earlier in the winter/spring we had some of them cut up to use for smoking wood.

Had some help today, got 4 truckloads of the wood back to the house, stacked not tossed.

Here's one loaded down about to get put away. Look at how wide the base trunks were.

Fire up the smoker!!!

Fire up the smoker!!!
We need to. There's about 4 cord of pear and 1/2 cord peach stacked away and about another 2 cord on the ground.

Then i need to entice my free labor to return and address the damaged pecans and an old shag bark hickory down at the other place...
