What did you do to your non-G body project today? [2019]

You guys will probably laugh but when I bought the taillights for the Camry the other day, the used parts place also had a used spoiler that was the same color. I didn't buy it when I got the lights but I kept thinking about it so I decided to go back for it. I also grabbed the black emblems off of the same car to replace my chrome ones, still have to stick them on though.

It's a little scratched up but I like it. Plus the car is basically a race car now.

Joe, no judgements here bro! I added a spoiler to the old Neon SE I drove. Pulled it from an SXT for cheap, painted it to match(sorta) and it def added 1/3hp!!!!! I also have a spoiler in the basement for my Mazda 6, but just haven't made time to install it.
Maybe I have a problem, this is coming from a guy with a laydown Monte spoiler on my Cutlass that I'm bodyworking, again, for paint, again for the 3rd time ugh!

Really? I added a roof rack to my Neon to get my free 1/3hp.

Haha I guess I'm not the only one. I laugh at myself for doing these little junkyard "upgrades" to the Camry. It's an old car with a lot of miles and typical old car wear but I can't help but like it. It's comfortable, it's quiet, it's easy to drive.

But have you even seen my strut brace bro?!

(was like $10, snagged from a junkyard ES330 😉 )

If it was a V6 I'd tell you to grab the ES motor mounts. They're different. More luxurious, yo.

Fahk! I can't tell you how much I wish it was a 6 cyl. Those 1MZ-FEs are soo smooth. And they are pretty reliable too as long as the timing belts get changed.

They have issues with oil coking. They like to sludge up to the point that they can't drain oil fast enough and then lose oil pressure. Other than that, they are pretty nice to drive. Way nicer than the 4 banger. Honda's are the same way. I wish my Accord was a V6 right up until I have to do any kind of work to that shitbox.

That's right, I did forget they had oil sludge issues. They tend to get overshadowed by the 2AZ-FEs burning oil and pulling out head bolts. Still the 6s are smooth runners. Damn right about the 4 cyls being easier to work on though.

I attended an all-Oldsmobile car show in Southington, CT on Sunday Sept 15th with my 1978 Delta 88 Holiday coupe. It's put on by the New England Olds Club and was a great show. I've been going to this venue for over a dozen years even though the location has changed several times. The weather was perfect, sunny and mid-70's, and there were 100 cars in attendance this year. I was parked next to a beautiful gold 1970 Olds 98 convertible that was all original with only 36k miles on it. I saw many cars this year I've never seen before at this show. The Hudson Valley Oldsmobile Club showed up with about 10-12 members and their cars. It was a great turnout. I made the 239.4 mile round-trip in my Delta and didn't have any issues. The car has 3.23 gears from the factory and I got 16.5 mpg for the trip. It might have been slightly better but I was trying to keep it as close to 65 mph as possible. People were flying by me on Route 84 and my tach was at 2800-2900 rpm. I didn't feel like winding the 403 up too much higher. I did get a handful of people slowing down to look and give me the thumbs up. The best one was a car with 4 elderly gentleman, at least 75 or older, that gave me the thumbs up at the same time. I waved and they continued on.

Nothing.
Talked to a guy more famous than me about it. He seems interested.

Now we wait.
