I got two new sets of keys for the Toyota. My sister lost both master keys, both fobs, the lockout key and the plastic wallet key while she had it. So I've been using a cheap hardware store key and no fob. Last week I ordered 2 used OE fobs and two new OE master key blanks from eBay. Today I programmed the fobs which was easy and had the hardware store cut the keys (they aren't transponder keys). Now I've got two complete sets of keys!

Got a.project to do on the Cop Vic this weekend. View attachment 123279

Follow -up on this.

Tore into the thing yesterday. After getting the tie rods apart, I was having trouble breaking loose the bolt that secures the steering shaft to the rack. So I skipped that and took loose the fluid lines. There I discovered a torn O-ring on the pressure line.

I was going to run out and see about getting another one when I realized it looked just like the #6 O-rings for AC systems, which I might have a spare or two from when I put the Vintage Air in my Cougar. So I climbed up into the shop attic and scrounged through my spare parts and sure enough I had TWO.

Replaced that and buttoned everything back up. It appears to have stopped leaking. But I won't know for sure until everything that I couldn't get to cleaning up on the frame and crossmember dries up and stops dripping too. I have until October 10th to return the new stuff I may not need now. 🙏

You guys will probably laugh but when I bought the taillights for the Camry the other day, the used parts place also had a used spoiler that was the same color. I didn't buy it when I got the lights but I kept thinking about it so I decided to go back for it. I also grabbed the black emblems off of the same car to replace my chrome ones, still have to stick them on though.

It's a little scratched up but I like it. Plus the car is basically a race car now.
