Wasn't today but was over the weekend, finished up the Mauser project. Next is the scheduled breakfest get together Sunday to hand it back to my buddy who has no idea it'll be there.

That garage is a rotten mess. I'm serious if I ever meet whoever worked on this house I'm beating their asses. One at a time. Like a Kung foo movie.
Pink is the siding over old windows. Nails through it too. Me adding sloppily cut osb is the best thing to happen to this rot box in decades.

The old owners must of been related to the people who I bought m house from. Never good to hear them say "if ain't broken, don't fix it" as they show the house. Still fixing stuff from that way of home ownership.
Tried to fix the van up some more, man was that a fail. Did end up getting the glass to work on the passenger side after taking the mount completely apart and thinking it was going to break. Ended up with a small break in the corner to get the cover to go back on and hold it in place since the glass doesn't properly fit. Then moved on to the driver side lower control arm, boy that end up as a huuuuuuge fail. Toyota engineers make it where you need to pop the motor mount out to access the bolts for the one side of the arm. My buddy helping me ended up freaking out cause we popped the mount out and started to get the bolts out but then wouldn't come completely out. So he fought like hell trying to get the mount completely out which I then ended up having to replace, once we got it all out. The strut decided to seperate from the hat and would not go back and the cv axle decided to come out and rip the boot. To get the strut out and replaced I also ended up doing the stabilizer bar link cause it was froze pretty good without having a second place to hold it with a wrench. So ended up as a rather costly day, but hopefully will be wrapped up shortly
The basement is starting to take shape- the bigger of 2 bookshelves (78x70) is pretty much organized and there's many more magazines than the picture makes it seem. I don't recommend trying to assemble furniture with a puppy who has separation anxiety, though it's a nice lesson in managing frustration. This was an easy piece to assemble compared to others and I'm glad to get all of this off of the floor. I'll likely change it a bit when there's time.

Fed-Ex delivered the TV stand with fireplace left leaning against the house... with the "Do Not Lean" image facing out. It survived and has been assembled, but needs more work.
There's also talk of 2 homemade life sized visible gas pumps complete with glass tops going into those corners, and the possibility of a dry bar & fridge after 2 huge pieces of furniture find new homes. Those are Dad's projects and he's got a lot on his plate as well so God knows when that'll happen, but I give my father kudos for finally accepting change. He's a bit excited even if he won't admit it.

Replaced the rear control arms and shocks in the CVPI. Installed KYB Gasadjust rear shocks.
Yesterday I finally got around to changing my sisters o2 on her jeep and resetting the code. Then decided since I was there I would change the plate the state sent me for the GTO, not very happy after 20 years I have a new number for it but they said the old ones were starting to wear away which mine didn't have any of. Ended up taking the GTO to go meet a buddy and his wife for dinner, he had just got back from vacation and was itching to get a car out so he brought his Viper
Drove the k1500 few hours round trip to fiancé's grandmother's house.for her birthday. Did fine, random idle surge is all but gone.
at least you get deliveries to the door. FedEx can barely make it up my driveway and then leave stuff sitting there in full view of the street for any thief willing to make the effort
