Eh.... so much for rest.

So, I got told the camaro had a little 'mishap' while I was trying to rest.

Lower fascia/splitter has a crack or a deep deep scratch well beyond nail catch territory.

Fender dented at the body line. Alt view:

So. I'd like to try to pop it out myself, maybe with a block and crowbar? Really as I've said before, it's not a car I'm willing to put money into.

Add it to the list of annoyances.
Look into calling a painless dent repair guy you might be supposed we actually call them to the body shop quite often and some of them are really good 👍

I had to call it a night the heat was getting to me and I couldn't find a feeler gauge to adjust the valves. But the valve train is in and Eric is stopping by after work tomorrow to help me adjust it.

Hopefully after it's adjusted I don't have much problem putting the fuel system back together. It's Ben so long I'm having a hard time remembering how it all goes back on. These Duramax engines are quite the puzzle. There's just way to many parts jammed in to small of space. It's not that I don't know what goes where it's what goes first and how to fish it threw.

Maybe... I just hate to put money into something that just sits there and personally I don't want most of the time. Still haven't figured out exactly how it happened either.

Well, *some* of them I use, occasionally doing the search function to find something from a couple years ago.
So before you sh*t can the lot, you take a fast run through the list and either check or uncheck the ones you want to keep. I have at least a half year or more of e-mail waiting for me to visit the site and dump them. Most of them are duplicates of what I get in Outlook so off to the land of deletion they go. As you noted it is a time killer but something to do when there is nothing on the boobtube or the paint has been shot but needs to cure.

Bringing this back again. Gonna sit in the smoker for awhile over some hickory chips.

Supper for tonight when my boy gets home from work!
I have that same exact smoker, how do you like it? It works well for me, I've noticed the wood chips I have aren't smoking as much as they used to but that might be them getting humid or something.

I put them in a side file( took a while to learn to) to save. But the rest I heave. Have a email at work because they never deleted it when I wasn’t supposed to have one anymore. But due to paycheck hack 4 yrs ago, I had to get it reopened to be able to get paid. You can’t fix stupid in a corporation. Well not legally.

Been chipping away at the sprinklers in the back yard this past week. Would have it wrapped up, but one of my valves is leaking between the solenoid and housing. Lame. It's so close to done it's painful to have to wait for tomorrow (since Friday afternoon) to swap it out. It also prevents me from finishing the 2nd garden bed. I also got the Camaro prepped for next weekend. Changed oil, rear pads, and gave the brakes a flush on a friend's lift today since my garage is slammed full of Z06 guts. School starts for the kiddos Thursday, so wrapping up the sprinklers to get the Z06 wrapped up is paramount as the wiff is gonna need her parking spot back ASAP. I'm expecting to get the clutch and shifter rod back by the end of the week, so should be able to have a driving Z06 again by weekend after next at the latest. Even if I break something significant on the Camaro, next race after this one isn't until October so I should be good to go either way.

Pdr is usually a lot cheaper than body work and paint. I only suggested it for that reason and because if you try it yourself you could easily make it more of a mess and more of an eyesore. Although there are some good pdr how to videos out there if you want to learn.

I know it's not considered a top shelf high quality unit, but for the price, I think it's a great starter unit. We don't use it every weekend, but it works for us.

The only issue we had and it only happened in the middle of winter when it was really cold out was the temp sensor not reading correctly. Plug it in and the temp would register 275. That wouldn't let the heating element turn on. Tried on another warmer weekend it worked fine. Hasn't done it since.

Smoke from the chips? There are a lot of variables there. Sometimes it smokes like it's on fire, sometimes not. Flavor is always there though.

We like it a lot. Still learning the finesse of smoking some things, but who doesn't love smoked meats!
