What do these orange and white wires in the rear quarter window area power?

One orange and white wire was routed to a hole in the rear quarter window trim which I’m assuming is a light.

Which light does the second wire power?

Got the car with an incomplete interior and I need to put it back together

The orange is usually the courtesy interior lights fused circuit, always hot.

The white wire is for the pin switches in the door jambs that will ground that wire when doors are open to light the courtesy lamps.

Would you know where this particular one goes? One feeds the LH quarter window light, but not sure where the other end goes?

Hey all I have a question about the dome light with map light. It has a little switch on it and I’m wondering which light does the switch operate? Is it for the map light only or do they both work together? Does both bulbs supposed to light up when the doors open or only one?

I noticed all the courtesy(dome) bulbs pulled out of my recent craigslist purchase 82 El Camino. I put in new bulbs but closed the doors and the lights stay on. I removed both door jamb switches and cleaned them. I tested them with my multimeter and they are working correctly. The only thing left is the headlight switch, right? The headlight switch turns back and forth correctly and even locks for dome light to stay on. Any ideas? I also opened one door at a time and pressed in on the switch. no change. Still stays on.

hello everyone, so when I open the doors the dome light goes on but the under the dash lights do not. But when I use the interior lights switch the under the dash lights go on but the dome light does not. Anyone have any ideas on why this is and how I can fix this? Thanks in advance

Guys, my 82 El Camino has the orange plastic dome/courtesy delay box under the dash and it is stuck on. I put in new dome bulbs cause previous owner had them removed. The dome light stayed on with doors closed for at least 20 minutes before I removed my new bulbs. The jamb switches are working cause I removed them, cleaned, and tested them on the bench with my multi meter. There are 5 wires in the plug for the orange box=orange which is constant 12 volts, pink, black, and two whites. How can I by pass this or loop it to get it to work like a normal dome light should?
