I design fixed-point math and algorithms that reside deep inside of electronic systems.

Semi retired - plow roads in the winter which helps to pay for toys.
-34 years as a photocopier, office machinery, fax field technician for Monroe Litton, 3M, Ricoh, Minolta, Gestetner, Toshiba. Found myself out of work in 2004.I was a skilled technician which cost my employer too much because all they needed were parts replacers for lesser pay. I was based in the Toronto area but covered many parts of southern Ontario. Loved the type of work - not stuck behind a desk seeing the same people every day. My job took me to interesting locations - hospitals, schools, prisons, bank vaults, mental institutions, farms, welding shops, car dealers, nuclear plants, TV stations, GM plants and lots of offices. I accumulated nearly a million miles, driving this crazy part of Ontario, without any accidents. I was the 'Are you here again?' or 'Is it broken again?' guy.
Late 2004 I got my AZ (Semi Truck, air brakes) license. Worked my way up from low pay to a good income, delivering lumber, building supplies and shingles in the southern Ontario region. In 2008 I took 3 years off to recover from cancer. Drove part time until age 65, 2013 and now doing the winter snow gig.

Well, I visited police stations, morgues and fire halls as well and I was able to exit all of them as well. The worst experience was to remove of what was left of a mouse that was crushed by the photocopier feed rollers. The prison service call was interesting to say the least - the guards did an inventory of my tool case before and after the service. At the cop stations the copiers were pretty mangled - kick marks, doors ripped off and broken glass.
