Gbodies have poorer suspension geometry than most cars from the 1950s, a Bel-Air can easily out handle a G body let alone a modern car. What is so difficult to understand? G bodies have awlful suspension and are as rigid as a wet noodle with thin mild steel construction. Pre 78 G bodies are even built much better that the later ones in the 80s.

G bodies do have many faults and problems with their design, and there is a limit to how many times a old machine can upgraded to current standards. Like a PC can only keep up with newer PCs for so long until you need a newer model. Just about all machines are that way.

So put away your silly comparisons and tall tales, because there are many great examples of G bodies that can carve corners.

One thing I am disappointed with in owning a G body is we don't get the recognition that these cars are greener than a Chevy Volt. Besides not have the many toxic and scarce materials in the batteries of the "green cars" we have kept our cars out of the scrap yard and recycle many parts off of various cars in the scrap yards. Plus many of us have upgraded our cars and we put out less pollutants than these cars did when new.

Also where do you get most people modify their cars to burn cleaner. Most g body owners just rip stuff out and slap on aftermarket carbs, resulting in poorer performance and more pollution than stock. Even most LS swaps just use open tank venting, allowing more hcs, into the air.

Where did I say Bell Airs out handle new cars? Nowhere, quit using strawman arguments. I said 50s, cars and modern cars handle better than a G body. I thought you were an ok guy, guess I was wrong. Lots of stupid people on this forum.

newer engines that many of us put into our G body do put out less pollutants, the age of the car itself has nothing to do with the emissions the engine puts out. I did not say "most", I said many and I did not say they modify the cars to burn cleaner.

Except how clean an engine burns, it's exhaust output doesn't affect gas tank vapors. Only the setup of the Evap affects tank vapors. Most LS swaps lack any evap control because the owners don't bother, spewing lots of HCS from the gas tank into the air. Also old Gen powered G bodies still greatly outnumber LS powered G bodies, for now.
