Your crappy heads are killing your performance. Low 14s, MAYBE 13.90 if you're lucky. If your wallet can support it, get some good "low-price" heads (DART,Patriot,World) and you'll see high 12s or very low 13s for sure.

Someone commented that your cam is too small..... it's not .480 & 230* duration is all 'ya need for a solid street car. That much lift & duration is good for 400+ HP & Torque, with good heads.

you beat me to the punch lol.

great cam choice. i have a 327 with the same exact cam specs... only i have a descent set of heads ( afr eliminator street heads ) cam is mint, and making almost 450 hp / 400 ftlbs. ditch the 305 heads those valves and cambers are not suited for making power. go to a junk yard and pick up a set of fuelies if your on a budget.

Why, oh why would you run 305 heads? Their only advantage is the small chambers that will bump the compression. Other than that, they are severely flow restricted. I don't care what valves they have, they won't ever flow enough air to make real power. Get a set of the cheapest aftermarket heads you can find and you will probably see another 50-100 hp. They are that bad when paired to everything else you have.

I would have to jump on the band wagon and agree about the heads, you can get a set of vortec heads assembled for next to nothing and they will flow a hell of alot more than what you have. Just my .02
