A BBC? Probably little bitty ones. You probably won't have much room.

You got that right.
When I first bought mine it had either 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 in primary tubes and other than the mechanical clutch bellcrank they fit fine.
Then I went to the 2 inch Hookers and it was a different story. The lower right side control arm bracket needed surgery to fit the headers.
Then I switched the Brodix Race Rites for the AFR heads with raised exhaust ports and this presented more fitment issues.
It took four of us with two sets of oxy acy torches and two big bars to bend one tube for a little extra clearance.
Then because of that my Powermaster XS starter wont fit..
Lots of fun LOL

what cam are you using

As a general rule of thumb a dual plane is the best choice for a street build.

We're still waiting for you to post some pictures of what you have.
Also, have you determined exactly what you have ??
Is it a 427 or a 396/402 ??
More info is needed to help you with a plan.
If it were me I would build a Hi Po BBC that would easily turn 7000 RPM with a high end valvetrain and solid roller cam,LOL
