Just cleaned out the trunk of my 88 and found this! I haven't got a chance to get under it yet, but this sure don't look right!

looks like a body mount bolt poked up through or maybe someone cut a hole one time or another to fix a mount,i would look underneath and try to feel up in there and make sure the mounts there,if its all intact patch it up

If that's the case, then the mount's most likely gone  . I've noticed quite a bit of rattling since I've been drivin it 😳.
Are there any urethane mounts available for these cars?

yes, they are available, the cutlass i picked up has them.dont know where he got them though, check ebay,if not im sure others on here could point some direction

Thanks I'll have to check that out. I know Summit has suspension bushings, but they don't list body mounts in the catalog...

just o a google search for cutlass or g body mounts and youll find about a hundred different places that carry them. i have been looking around cause im getting ready to order them myself. they usually run around $130. for the set, but i have found them as low as $98.00 . you can get them in red or black polyurethane or rubber.

Thanks guys! Looks like I need to start savin up 🙂 . I'd like to do the urethane suspensions while I'm at it, but I'll have to see what I can come up with.

unfortunatly it's more than the poly body bushings you'll need. There is a c channel under the trunk floor that will have to be replaced or rebuilt. The bolts are coming thru the trunk floor because the bolt anchor had broken through it's cage or the c channel has rusted away.

Well crap :blam: . Better start callin some shops then since I don't own a welder.
