I think it has something to do with an aftermarket set up for something...I think your just bored now that your engine has sold and this is your next infatuation...
I am a little bored now. I need some good weather next weekend so I can get this engine bay power washed and painted, to get ready for its new power plant

Ritter,
What year G-body was this thing found on? Was it a diesel (or is it?)? I've got a book that gives circuit numbers from 1969 to 1982 & later. Can't say I'll be able to answer your question but, I'll see what I can do!

RITTER,
I Haven't forgoten about you, I've been trying to find every circuit with a yellow wire. I think I've got them all (34 of them), and I'm going to check one more time. Obvious circuits like radio, turn signal, map light feed, etc., I won't bother with if that's okay with you?
The book I'm using, is for Chevelle, Malibu, and El Camino but, all G-bodies should be close IMO. I'm assuming all powered things work (radio, turn signals, ignition switch, power seats, dome light, dimmer switch, etc.
The Red wire is a "feed, battery-unfused".
The book only lists circuits the yellow wire was used in and not for each year (from 1969 through 1982 and up).

It's a red/yellow wire

Sometimes I can't tell between pink and red 😳 . It's gotta be something to do with the wipers maybe a relay like you were thinking. Its the only yellow wire in that location, whatever it is it was put in by someone who didn't want the stock one anymore

Yeah, I can't even find where the thing could be broken from. 😳 Where do I hook my battery up to power my car (with no engine) :?:

There are three main thicker power wires going into the firewall fuse panel you'd need to hook up (and a frame/body ground). One is red - main power, one is red - headlight/light circuit power, and one is switched 12v purple/pink. That should be everything you need, there are a few little sensor wires but I tore out most of those so couldn't help with them

You could just cut and use a single wire connector on both ends of these wires it may help testing things out in the future wouldn't need to find the ends of them. If you don't wana cut just follow them back to their original locations.

edit - that 3rd purple/pink power wire may be starter wire. It may send power to the wire on ignition startup, hook power up to the two red ones first and then test the third purple/pink one. If I was near the car I'd go and look at it but can't remember off the top of my head

just went to look at the car, there is a thick pink switched 12v output wire to your coil, and another thick purple one for the starter.

The two red main powers should do the job
