Thanks to other board members, I switched my oil weight. Now using Royal Purple 5/30 and RP filter. I have noticed a difference. May go to the hps 5/30 next oil change. Not cheap!!!,!,!

Thanks everyone...
I'm going to go with the additive ZDDPLUS based on talking to my buddy Brian Weaver at GBODYPARTS.com

Basically I'll go with a 10W30 oil (probably Castrol or Valvoline) and add this to each oil change.

I've seen a lot of cams in the older cars have issues it seems lately.
Could be just our usual decline of quality we all see daily in life?

My cars are driven very little anyway.
I'm always open to suggestive input also.
Who'd guess picking an oil would be this difficult anymore...
Thanks again...

They are only this clean once...

I'm also a long time user of Castrol GTx and Hedge on my eurocars.
I think that synthic oil have less heat absorption capacities.
Depending of the age of conception of the engine, sbc is from the 50's, no synthetic oil at that time.
3000 miles or once a year oil change.
Will do oil on Monte in a few days with Gtx.

It's good to read all the posts.
I hope everyone gets something out this.
I am!!
Thanks....
