what to do when being ripped off

I understand if they didn't automatically refund the shipping. However, if the parts were in the condition you described, and you complained about not getting the shipping back, any company that wanted future business from you should have returned the money (or at least a credit on your next order). It sounds like they shipped you parts that had already been returned for whatever reason.

My experience is companies that make these types of decisions are having financial issues. Don't be surprised if they are not around in a few years.

I said i would let everyone know if money was refunded. My credit card company has reported to me $544.00 dollars charged then refunded,i guess they charged me instead of refunding me.Then $544.00 again shows up refunded that makes a total of $1088 .00 dollars refunded.Seat covers were 449.95, B- pillar trim was 90.00,A - pillar trim was 35.00,shipping on seat covers was 28.00 dollars, shipping on the trim was 23.00 -thats them shipping to me, then back to them.I said I was out over 1100.00 dollars,I guess I'm still out of pocket some cash. All this could have been avoided had they not sent the trim in the first place,it was not as they stated on there web site.Refurbished/Restored-every G-body restoration project could use these blah blah blah. Thanks to every one who has put in there 2 cents.Pics of items could be sent upon request.Truthfulness in business is always best.

Well I'll let you guy's know what it is I'm building-1983 Hurst Olds,The whole driveline is out of the car currently. We are installing a LS3-out of my 2010 camaro SS,which we installed a LS7 modified by Redline motorsports. Now the LS3 should put out 475-500 horse power when dynoed,we hope. Also installing a tricked out 700-4 R.Why a 700-4R? Well. we want to keep the orig. shifters. We are also installing a ford 9" rear end with 3:73 gears. The car is under going full restoration Body and paint work and interior, this is why, good usable parts are needed.no Crap parts. This should be an awsome car,and it belongs to my wife! The car will look stock from the outside, inside, trunk, until we open the hood and crank it up.

Sucks you yanked the numbers matching motor, trans and rear on a super rare original car... I hope to god you kept those with the car and didn't throw them out or sell those rare parts.
I think your bad luck is Karma from ruining a rare car.
You should have at least installed an Olds 455 or cloned a regular car and bought a spoiler, hood scoop and air dam from Lauren Engineering and picked up a set of lightning rods on eBay Instead of desicrating another Olds with a Chevy motor and destroying a rare car... just sickens me. :puke:

Well welcome to the forum bro. Hope you get a build thread going. Sorry but it seems you got a rude welcome here. Guy, way to make him feel comfortable here
Anyways I for one would like to see a build thread and some pictures of the work that you're doing. Gonna be a good one for sure.

I have had nothing but good experiences with gbodyparts. I had to return something once there and had no problem. Almost all companies do not reimburse shipping costs, with the exception of summit and jegs. Usually there is a restocking fee, but if the parts are defective and you believe it is from shipping you can make a claim against ups or fedex...I had to do that once with a summit order that was damaged. Although summit took all the action, so I just got new parts sent to me and they made a claim which was later paid by fedex

Tell them if they don't refund your shipping (I'm with you on this if it's their mistake), you will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They may not care, but it might impact their business in the future - I check the BBB website before I do business with a new company and I've caught a few to the point where I take my business elsewhere.

My older brother told me I'd be taking some flak for changing this car....Every item- Engine,Trans,Rear end,all bolt ons will be rebuilt and kept.I know how rare these cars are.My car also has the sand drift interior,no t-tops,no electric windows or mirrors or seats. This car was a real plain jane Hurst but it's going to rip- snort when were done.Anyway's I'm done talking about Gbody parts.Just triing to move forward. Can anyone suggest where I can get some bucket seat hinge covers redone? One of the covers also needs some plastic repair.I also have some other plastic /Chrome that could use some replateing.Help would be appreciated. Thanks

Glad to hear that you are at least keeping the original components. It's tough love to say the least, Olds guys are manily purists at heart and it's painful to see these cars slowly dissapear. It's not like the Monte SS or Buick GN's which they made 10's of thousands of.
Between the Hursts and 442's from 83-85 there are less of them in total made than there are GN's and the same goes with Montes. Over 30,507 GN's were produced between 82 and 87 while only 17,982 Hursts and 442's were only produced (6501 Hursts and 11,481 442's).
There are only an estimated 1/3 of these cars out of 3000 left on the road today and the Sand Gray interior is SUPER RARE with an estimated 400-600 only being made.
I own one with a Sand Gray interior and T-tops and basically saved it from becoming a turd.

BTW it's places like gbodyparts.com and guys like Brian Weaver that are keeping these cars alive.
Brian is a stand up guy and will do his best to correct the situation, I don't view his site as a buisness or a store but a guy that sells parts online just like anyone else does on forums. I've spoken personally with him a few times and have done buisness with him many times with no issues.
Keep in mind he is an independent person, hes not YEAR ONE, OPG or AutoZone to say the least.
I'd recommend gbodyparts.com to anyone.
