My first G-Body was a 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix, which I bought in 2001.

I loved that car; I had had a string of relatively bad or awful cars before that, ones that had either blown up (coughcoughChevyCelebritycoughcough) or were painful to be seen driven (station wagons). So this was a nice change. It had the Buick 231, but who's counting... I liked it, and I liked driving it.

Around 2003, it was having some trouble getting through New Jersey emissions. I saw another Grand Prix, an '85, for sale down the street from me and I bought it. I then spent the summer combining the good bits of both cars into one, which ended up being this:

Gone was my 231, replaced with a 305. Same cranky three speed automatic, but she could move.

I drove that car until 2008, when a series of misfortunes occurred. I eventually took it off the road with the intentions of eventually fixing it up. It needed new doors, a new radiator, the intake manifold leaked, and there was some body rust I had to take care of.

... and there it has sat ever since, waiting patiently for me to get the time, money and motivation to take care of it.

My mother & Grandma got together to get me a 79 Olds Cutlass Supreme in Carmine Red /Red Interior & Solid bench seat w/ a 260/200M when I was 16 in 1988. I still have her today, granted it needs restored. I have been into G-bodies ever since & now have 7 G-bodies, 5 Cutlass', Turbo Regal w/T-Tops, & Monte SS. I dont have any digital photos of my 1st 79 but here is a pic of my latest addition the 78 Turbo T-Top Regal that belonged to the woman I bought her from for 27 years.

My first one is my current one, but I fell in love with my aunts regal back when I was ten or so. That car was burgundy on burgundy plush and she always kept it clean.

My first G-body was a 1988 Olds Cutlass Supreme, got it is a gift from my uncle when he upgraded to a Lexus. It had a 307/200R4/3.08 open rearend and last version of the car before I sold it was 331/350TH/2.73 posi rearend. Had a 3.70 posi 8.5 GN rearend but broke the screw holding the cross shaft and the shaft slid out of the carrier and smacked the pinion.Bracket raced it through out my ownership. Ran a best of 16.19 on the stock de-comped 307, and 12.89 with the 331/350TH/3.70 posi 8.5.. 87 octane low compression dailty driver.
