What's the difference between a 85 GN and a 86 GN?

i know the 85 doesnt have an intercooler and the turbo is in a different spot but is there any kit to re arrange everything like an 86 GN? and get an intercooler?

looking to buy one and just wondering

there are a couple of guys that part out GN's and they make kits out of the parted out cars to convert the hot-air 84-85 to the intercooled 86-87 setup. You may want to check out the turbo buick forum and ask for info

Hmnn not sure you can try http://www.turbuicks.com or http://www.turbobuick.com if so you probably can locate a "kit" through one of the vendors listed or linked to their site. Aside from an intercooler a simple methanol/water injection kit is the single best bang for the buck upgrade when you want to make real power on pump gas.
