whats your choice of tires?

I've run BF Goodrich Radial T/A's (235/60-15 front and 245/60-15 rear) and am currently running Grand Prix 245/60-15 Performance GT's on my 76 Monte Carlo. The BFGs had a smoother ride, but the GP's have better traction. Not a clue what I have on my 86 Grand Prix right now, but I can tell you that I will be getting rid of them as soon as I have money for 15x7 Rally II's. I'll probably go for the BFGs for the smoother ride because it will be my driver. So my suggestions would be:

If you're going for performance, go with the Grand Prix Performance GT's. If you're going for smooth ride (daily driver), go with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's.

who else is digging this tire?

yeah tires make a BIG difference to how a car handles. i remember i went from stock 14"x5" stock saturn tires to 15"x8" bfg g-force sport and it was the best handling car ever! IMO ofcorse  so yer going wider or ya going sticky-er?

im doing both.

Best tires I have ever had are BFG Euro T/A's. Had them on my car for 12 - 13 years, car was not on road for almost 10 years. Tires have around 15 passes at the track and there were a few nights I hated my tires, they do smoke nicely 😀 . I am planning on runnning BFG's again, this time I will have the G force drag radial 275/50-15 on the back with a 225/50-15 up front.
I have had Goodyear Eagle GT 2's on my car when I bought it and thought they were garbage. Didn't last at all, might have gotten two summers out of them. Will never own another set of Goodyears.

BFG's FTW!
