What's your daily driver?

Joe,
I miss not having a tach in the car. This is probably the first and only one of my cars that does not include a tach in it. From what I can ascertain, these cars were meant for old people who were not concerned with rpm, oil pressure, voltage output, etc...not that I'm a spring chicken anymore. 😕

Yeah, I was surprised the Buick had all those gauges, being it was marketed to the AARP demographic. I minimally need a tach and a temp gauge.

2000 Honda Accord SE.

Those are great cars, they were the last generation of Accord before they got all bloated-looking.

Bought this 2013 Impala 4 years ago, It's been a good car no issues. 17 inch tires are a bit spendy, I just put 4 new Goodyear's on it. Great highway cruiser. Got XM radio and all the options, power everything.

Those are nice cars. Anymore 17s are standard on most everything, it's hard to find 15s or 16s on anything but econoboxes or very low-end base models.

My daily's spring to fall are my 88 Cutlass and my 70 Cutlass. My youngest daughter will be driving the 88 this summer, although I will probably use the 88 for long trips. In the winter, my 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 5.9 swap. I also drive the 2010 Stone White Challenger SE year round whenever my wife doesn't have it.

I like the Delta 88! Trying to find a decent 2 door.

Thank you! Yes, Coupes are pretty rare. That's why I jumped on this when I saw it on CL. We also have a 75 Delta 88 Vert that is my wife's summer cruiser. It's a nicer twin of what she drove in high school.

My current DD actually belongs to my daughter but she's in school right now and the stupid little car gets 40mpg and just won't die.

I used this almost all last summer and plan to again when the weather warms up a bit more.

I'll need to come up with something cheap to drive for work before school gets out. Thinking Matrix or xD.

I also like the 2 door Holiday 88. The late 70's models seem smaller and more sporty than the 80's models. I still say they are better built and designed cars than the G bodies. I noticed almost all of them are Olds 350 powered, the optional 403 seems to be a rare bird.

Yes, the larger cars feel better built, ride much better and have been easier to work on, for me at least. I also had an 84 D88 for 10 years with the 307 and OD trans. But this car runs so much better. I also prefer the sloped back window vs. the notch back straight up rear window.
