i just got my new wheels, so i,ll add my info to the mix im pretty happy with fit :p
was wanting to update my old 16"centerlines and upsize a bit , i went 18s instead of 17s i was originally planning, here are the specs
wheels u.s. mags 18 x 8 in front and 18 x 9 in r both with 5" bs
tires nexen 235/40s in front and 275/35s in the rear..maybee could of done a bit taller profile..im just not used to low profile tires..lol but its growing on me
car is lowered about 2" f/r. with qa1 adjustable coilovers with springs set as low as can be in front and qa1 and belltech 2" drop springs in the rear
so with the 5"bs in the front there were no rubbing or clearance issues..niiiccccce :p
and in the rear a 1/4" spacer would of been good but due to exhaust clearance i just used the same 3/8" spacer i was useing with my centerlines..running longer studs of course. with the 3/8 spacer i can get my fingers between the frame and the tire so a good 1/2"+ clearance from the frame. less issues with these 18s than my 16s..with the lower profile tire there isnt alot of or any tire bulge.
here are a few pics but i wil add another view/angle tommorow

I am looking at some
Cragar 510 Magnums for my 81 regal sport coupe.

says the 15x6 have 3 3/4" rear spacing and 3mm offset
15x7 4 3/8" rear spacing and 6mm off set
15x8 have 4 1/2" rear spacing and 0 off set.

I want to run 15x7 in front and 15x8 in back.
Cragar replied saying they will work but I am hearing 4" or less from people.
Just wondering who is right also what size tires would I run on these.

Thanks Jason

generally with these cars, 4" back spacing is a safe bet
the build quality is questionable, and some cars are comfortable with more BS, and others with less BS

it also depends on the type of tire you chose. A large sidewall tire will tend to bulge out more than a low-profile type tire.
for example, a 275/60/15 tire with a big sidewall will bulge out more than a 275/45/17 low-pro tire

generally, on Regals on Montes for whatever reason, I've seen 4.5" BS work comfortably with a big tire. The GPs and Cutlasses have clearance issues (GP with frame rubbing, and the Cutlass tires rubs on the low fender skirt)

in the front, 4.5"BS should work okay, you might notice some rubbing on the swaybar & frame at full lock turns

tires, depends on the look you're going for
if you like the staggered 15x7 & 15x8 look, I could recommend a 215/65/15 front, and 275/60/15 rear
in the front, you could go as large as 235/60/15
in the rear, you don't want to go larger than 275/60/15... and really a 255/60/15 is a safer bet

here's a picture of my car with 215/65 fronts and 275/60 rears on Chevy rally wheels
(these are 4"BS wheels, I had to use 1/2" spacers and raise the height of the rear)

id like to keep a mostly stock stance so maybe I should go with a smaller backspace. or go down to a 6" front and 7" rear ? I want to keep it semi stock looking minus the wheels

I think for a stock look, keep 15x7s all around
the 8s give a deep dish look, and the 6s will be too narrow to use a stock size tire

on a 15x7 rim, you can use a range of sizes, anywhere from 195 to 255 comfortably. The 255s don't look as drastic in the rear as my 275s

here's a picture of Blake442's Cutlass with 255 rear tires
