Hubcaps and white walls

Its all about the sleeper look

They are ugly but all you will see is my tailights!!

Did pickup trucks ever come with ww's?

I love embarrassing people with my whitewalls and hubcaps.

These were $140 for the set on Amazon.
We had a red Datsun wagon growing up, newest car my parents ever bought other than an International 2 ton, which was brand new. Those tires belong on that thing. I get white walls being retro and cool. I have the poverty caps on my 70S. It will be getting a Tremclad(Rustoleum) Dark Green paint job. I did the 88 Fire Red, orange peel city, I need a lot more sanding before paint and with each coat. I am still glad I painted over thr Whitewalls. Redline tires are a different story, I would put them on.

My El Camino will likely get redlines when the current tires are worn out. It's also a hubcap car.

We use to throw Wankel's and RX7 rear's in those and pop the clutch at 10k.

They were unbeatable down on Fountain Ave !

Yes to pick ups coming w/white walls,in the days of yesteryear some tire companies had a layer of white under the black side wall. All they did then was carve the top layer to whatever size and style of whitewall was popular at the time. Whitewalls used to be the primo tire (40s-early 70s)then RWLs came about in the 60s. Corvettes even came with WWs. I only like to see WWs on an old luxury car like a Caddy,Lincoln,or Imperial. I got tired of RWLs in the 70s. I'm happy with all black.

I remember my buddy's dad had a stash of add on wide whites he would use on their '57 Chevy. They would be pinched by the wheel & tire. I wonder if anyone makes/carries them anymore.

I can believe this.

When lined up and it revved to 10K, the other guy would put both hands to his ears in pain and couldn't steer or shift.

Wankels are like a sonic death ray.
