Who uses the factory 14s

I had 235/60R14's up front, no rubbing. I tried 245/60R14's up front and they did rub. I had 245/60R14's out back they fit fine. Both those sizes were on my 14" x 6" factory aluminum rims.

I used to run 225/70r/14 on all 4 corners. 14x6, 6 hole stock rally wheels on my El Camino for everyday use..... I saved the 15x8 steelies and Goodyear Stockcar Specials for Saturday nights....

Tire choices are very limited these days. What you can get depends on your goal - do you want long treadlife? Excellent wet/all weather traction? Or wide and meaty?

Michelin still made one 205/70/14 that had good fuel mileage, great wet traction, and pretty good in the snow too. Meant for the minivan types but fits our cars.

Most manufacturers abandoned the 14s so for high quality tires... not much to pick. Can get bfg t/as but they wear out quick and traction isn't great... I'd give it a 60/100 rating.
