Why I prefer Summit over Jegs

I would agree with you on this, I like supporting local business .

But my local Speed Shop SK Speed suxxxxx dead donkey balls.

They never have anything you need in stock. Oh but they can order for you.

I tell them I can order it too so who needs you???

It gets even worse because they just built this huge brand new store a couple of years ago.

But the shelves just have junk on them.

An isle of overpriced oil, An isle of scratch and dent exhaust pipes.

If you want a choice of 800 different chrome exhaust tips they have those in stock.

When I lived in the city S&S Speed was my local shop. Americas oldest in business Speed Shop!!

That was before this fancy interwebz thing but if they didn't have it they would have it next day at 10am on the dot with no extra change.

What's a local speed shop? Outside of some of the few local independents who use Keystone, I haven't been to anywhere that I could easily get speed gear since Super Shops closed on '98. We did have one in the Pittsburgh North Hills & in Monroville. If one didn't have something the other did.

I have always preferred Summit over Jegs but sometimes Jegs has something that Summit doesnt. Summit is 1 hr 45 mins from me and Jegs is 2 hours. I will get my order from Summit the next day. Jegs takes 3 or 4 days.

The websites are another reason. Jegs' site doesn't even come close to Summits. So much easier/faster to use. It does bum me out that I don't get as many coupons or discounts from Summit anymore. Especially since I have spent over $4k there since early spring...

I have always thought navigating through Summits site was pretty easy compared to Jegs and many times I start at Summits site to find something even if I don't actually order it from them.

I've tried to look threw Jegs online app, l know l have very little patience but good God it's frustrating.

Summit for me in Canada is better than any local shops by far.

When ordering from Summit its all upfront with shipping times, drop shipping an so on. There fast at shipping in stock, normally that day out and l get it in 2 days. Same prices as Jegs!

I understand that people are or can be in a rush for parts. For me on most things l have a habit of ordering stuff well before l need it, l got a stock pile of parts for this fall threw until spring.

I'm loyal to what works for me so Summit gets my business. Jegs makes me pull my hair, what little l got so l can't afford the frustration.

I like Summit They ship from Reno to Phoenix in 1-2 days. I buy most of my stuff from them or Rockauto.com

Summit is the way to go even with taxes, only a 25 minute drive from the house with the new Texas store. There are a couple speed shops around but thin on anything in the place if it isn't for the newer cars for people with money. I miss Super Shops
