Why I prefer Summit over Jegs

I'm with the OP: Jegs seems to (almost) always have delayed shipping and/or other shenanigans where Summit never (or very rarely) does. As an added bonus, Summit's Reno location is fairly close to me--if I order in the morning and they have it on the shelf, their standard ground shipping will have it on my doorstep the next day, every time. Nice.

Summit is the way to go even with taxes, only a 25 minute drive from the house with the new Texas store. There are a couple speed shops around but thin on anything in the place if it isn't for the newer cars for people with money. I miss Super Shops

I agree 100%. I used to buy everything from Supershops back in the late 1980s/early 1990's. Even my "drag race tires" were balding used take offs the Super shops guys sold to me for $10 including mount/balance. It saved them having to haul them off, I guess.

One thing that Jegs does do better than Summit is price matching, you can go to their site and put in the price you found and the URL and pay for it with PayPal.
With Summit you have to call and then use a credit card while on the phone while it gets approved.

I have never had anything shipped from Summit that came USPS, not even the little boxes that have had a single fitting.
I just ordered my remote condenser and drier for the Monte a couple minutes ago from Summit.

Jegs sends you the wrong stuff.

You order a gm 10067353 flat tappet Mexico motor on ebay for $1000 including freight during a "sale"....

You wait a week, come home from work, and the truck had dropped off an lsx525 pan to intake motor. Right name and order info on the paperwork, wrong part.

Who wants to deal with that?

I don't order often, but I'll give jegs another shot...

Or, is that just what you told the wife? 😉

I just looked at my order and Summit is shipping a package of ac o-rings via USPS Priority mail so they must have just started doing this.

It's a true story. Happened when I'd only been practicing law a few years too. Did my research for guidance on the UCC and non-conforming goods shipments.

Turns out that, in Georgia, if a seller tenders non conforming goods, but those goods are of an equal or superior quality than what was bargained for, the law states the buyer can refuse the shipment OR accept it WITHOUT needing to pay any difference in value beyond what the original contract called for.

Ran my understanding by several highly seasoned members of the bar, we all agreed.

Speaking of, maybe I need to order an engine for something or another?..?...?
