Will it work

Ok thanks. So I've got the engine. Yeah. I'm going to take my time and learn while I gather parts. I tried doing some research and got conflicting info. I know it's a 6.0 it says it on the back of the block. It's an iron block. How do I know exactly what it is, lq4, lm9 etc and where on the heads can you figure out what heads they are. IVe read the 2014 6.0 anywhere from 300 to 360 hp, knowing the heads will help me figure out a cam since it will have to be changed because it's a vvti.

The engine had an 8 digit part number in the back like the old engines do. This can tell you the engine block.

For the heads there is a 3 digit number right below the corner of the valve cover at the end of the head. This will tell you the casting.

Here is an article with some good info.

So the important thing the heads I guess. They say 823 on them. A quick search and guys say there equal flow to L92 heads. I have some work to do but I can't wait to do a little research on the heads. And what's so special about the L92 heads
If you know anything Lmk. Thanks

That's the set up I want for my sbc.

If you use that you'll need the intake with the controller for the ignition as well. You can get a used ls3 intake with the fuel rails and throttle body cheaper than that.

Or keep what you have you are pretty close already.

The thing is you will need a pedal set up to since you have the drive by wire throttle body. Unless you get an ls1 type that uses a cable.

A friend of mine did a 6.0 block your same heads and an ls3 intake with a cable throttle body. Just have to have the harness made to what you have.

Plus you'll need to mod the fuel tank or get one for efi either way unless you get an external fuel pump.

I wouldnt go for the throttle body set up out of the gate. I was just curious if anybody has tried it because, I might try to drop the 6.0 in sooner than later, Might be easier to start with a carb set up and then switch to EFI later once I have taken care of some other things like the brakes and suspension, then come back the engine and EFI it. I probably shouldnt do it that way but my neighbor might be interested in my current 350.
