Here's a picture of where the cable goes.

Awesome! was wondering.

I have aftermarket hidden windshield antenna on both my Monte and Regal, the styles I have mount on the inside top of the windshield so you don't really see them and there is a 12 volt wire that is powers the antenna amplifier, I have 2 different brands but similar styles and both work well.
I also welded the holes shut on both cars to give it a cleaner look.

Gotta say, it's tempting, but I need a new windshield anyway. Might as well.

I remember doing this swap in my '83 wagon. I replaced the passenger front fender with one from a '79, and since the windshield was cracked, I put in a wired one. I just pulled a cable from a parted GM car in the boneyard.

30 years later, ever since I ripped all my CDs to MP3, I don't listen to the radio - who needs to hear commercials? I got into a rental car at one point, and had to use the radio and was surprised that several of my previous favorite local radio stations had gone country or Spanish language.

fwiw, back in the day, as stylish as the windshield antenna was, it did have some criticism for poor reception. that is why gm started offer fender mounted antennas. just my recollection from working in a chevy dealership 30 years ago.
sidenote, two of my three g-bodys have windshield antennas. third one has a non functioning power antenna with cb radio option.

Money is kinda tight right now, even for the price you're asking. This is all future planning for spring. But if you still have it by, April I suppose I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks.

I don't really listen to the radio that often either, (mostly just my Rush and Boston and Nirvana cassettes), but I think it's a neat little option to have. And my windshield is screwed anyway. Might as well. Give the car that much more of a custom feel to it. My favorite mods are little known factory bits, or stuff that looks factory. Like putting a 350 in a 305 monte ss but keeping the dual snorkel air cleaner and all that jazz. That was the whole goal of my 350 Buick swap. It's functional yes, but little bits like V8 radiator (to tell the truth, I hate the aluminum one I have. It's a single core I think, and has plastic tanks. And It's freaking bent in the middle.), fan shroud, fixing the big hole in the heater/ac box, hooking the heat and ac back up, etc. are still a ways off. Lots of nitpicky stuff to get it perfect.

No problem...thought I'd offer....and just to be clear my price is not $45..... that was the price in the link you provided...I'd go like $15 shipped.
