Windshield with built in Antenna... should I?

I'm running a cutlass windshield with antenna in my Monte. I used the stock monte anteena wire, ran it off the pigtail in the windshield, then right into the radio. works perfectly.. I have several antenna wires..

I put the windshield antenna in my 87 last year.

I wanted to get the antenna off the fender of g-bodies since I read a car craft article in the early 90s.

The reception was similar to the stock fender version, but any time you can integrate a powered antenna, it may help in areas of poor reception.

My 78 came with a windshield antenna. I always liked the smooth look without the fender antenna.
