i noticed youre bumping so i thought i'd let you know it sounds like it goin well. i want to hear that 307 with an exhaust!!! i love the video by the way hahahaha

so today i got the carb on, hooked up and adjusted the throttle cable bracket, hooked up the gas line and the brake booster. then i keep hearing this buzzing sound. its not coming from my car, its coming from a tree about 5 feet from it. im thinking, :wtf: cicadas are out again? as i look up the tree branch is touching the power line and i see it sparking! so im standing IN the engine bay when i realize this and jump the **** out. i call the fire department and they say im done working on my car today, and i agree. let com-ed come out and fix this sh*t. so after an hour of bullshitting with the firemen and talking about good places to eat, they take off and so do i. no com-ed today i guess. heres some pics i took before the zapping started

anyone know how to adjust a new detent cable for my th350 if i dont have the old one to use as a reference? :?:

once you have it all installed, you should have a D-shaped button on the bracket/cable housing, all you need to do is pull or push it (which ever one releases the tension on the cable) will you have the tension released open your trottle to WOT. and reset the button while you have the trottle fully open and your done

ok well, half my old one is still connected to the trans. so imma have to drop the trans pan to disconnect the old one and then hook up the new one, have the throttle at wot and then tension the detent cable on the bracket i have my throttle cable on? is that kinda what yer saying? whats the risk if i do it wrong? will i blow up my transmission? pls say no....

well i got alot of work done on the elky. i WANTED to put the the oil pan back on right and put in the new dentent/kickdown cable. but i did everything else instead. i put on the waterpump and the alt. brackets, got the throttle cable bracket and cable hooked up and adjusted, got the brake booster, and trans hoses to the carb hooked up. got 2 new bolts from the trany and trany mount and replaced them. i bought a temp guage just for an adapter to the head, and now i dont need it anymore. imma try and get these pics on here if myspace stops being poopie.

edit: i forgot i also bought trans and engine oil. i also moved everything to the shead so i can work on the car with out my ma being home. yay.
