I think making a 327 would be a really bad idea, sure if he had the money it could be cool, but by the time machining is done and he throws money for new pistons rods, etc, he could have a mean 350 so save for the 350!!!

well i found a nother yard by the house hidden away where no one can see it. had alot of 333882 heads and one caddy motor from a 62.

If it's from a '62, it's a 390.
Those motors make a ton of torque, but it's hard to tell in my buddies Caddy, because there's 7000 lbs of hearse to lug around... :lol:

yeah the guy said it came out of a red 'vert caddy. would that motor be worth building? or should i just keep looking? also could i take a newer injected sbc 350 and make it carbed?
well, i dont know anything about that engine and i assume its simlar to the regular sbc but idk... well to day i went bone yard hunting and found 2 sbc of unknown size. 1 from a early 70 cutlas thats a derby car, and one from a late 60's early 70's flareside pu. both are "the owners toys" so i couldnt get a look at them.

up early today, theres gonna be some sprimkles out but imma search for more local hidded junk yards and see if i can find those 416 heads. been re-reading this and i think that would be a good idea. so imma go back to where i was yesterday, but this time call around first.
well i didnt call around, just found 2 close by and went. both places wont let you pick yer own parts. i asked one place how much for a 350? he said $500 for a running one. i said i was at victory yesterday and they said 250 for a 350 and 5 hundo for a 454. i didnt say running or not but the guy said well if there doing it at that price, ill go 4 hundo. sweet. well the engines i was looking at were tbi. is 400 a good price? well i would go looking for more places but im broke till friday and im low on gas.
350, caddy motors didnt have that, that im aware of, I might have misread, I knew you thought about putting that 390 in, but i also thought you said you found a 350
