Just now seeing your updated wagon pics Jack... looks like the cats *ss! I mean that in a good way. Outstanding work you've done there.

 Thanks Tony.
I appreciate your feedback regardless of how it sounds. 😀

Are you working on anything new? I did see one of your posts that you were looking for another Monte Carlo. Have you found anything yet? I know you'll find something nice and clean...you usually do.

Blake,
I know I'm behind in reporting any updates, but I have been working on it steadily and making strides.
I welded up mounts for a console and factory shifter. Repainted the floors, and now I'm applying sound deadening/ insulation.
I'll try to get some pics posted. I know I should have been taking pics all along, but got lazy.
I should have been keeping this thread current with updates.

I recently got done welding in new brackets for the console and swapped out the Hurst shifter for a stock unit. Repainted the floors and began the sound deadening task. Here's a few pics. I still have the cargo area to complete...but it's getting there.
I still have the headliner to recover, look into a carpet kit..I'm open for recommendations on carpeting.

*Thanks to Mark (Mebe007) for his recommendation on the Bonded Logic sound deadening. 😀

Is the carpet for the wagon the same as a 4 door ? I could loan you a couple of helpers to get it installed. They are experienced.

Hey, thanks for the offer. Paul.
They look like they're quite capable of getting the job done.
The 4-dr carpet should be the same for a wagon and 2-dr models.

Where did you get your carpet from...Stockinteriors.com?

Yes. I got my headliner and sun visors from them also. www.stockinteriors.com.
The carpet kit comes folded up in a box I had to lay it out in the sun for a couple of days to help relax the creases.

If I'm not mistaken the product or one of the products they sell is from ACC (Auto Custom Carpets). About as good as you can get with lots of choices in texture, materials, colors and etc.. Been dealing with ACC directly to get carpet color samples sent to me. I can tell you this, the color on the screen is way different than the actual carpet color. Not a big deal if you're going back with the stock carpet color and material. Huge deal if you're trying to match the rest of the interior of non-stock colors.

The other thing you may ask is if they'll sew the vinyl edges on the carpet that goes over the load floor and the rear seat when folded down. Upholstery shops can do it but the place with the carpet has the experts. If you think you'd like floor mats the same color, it's a good time for that as well.

Here's the ACC site. http://www.accmats.com/ They have way more colors and you can still order through the other site or an ACC dealer online. Go here, http://www.accmats.com/Products/Flooring/Material.aspx and choose the style i.e. Loop, Cut Pile etc., then for cut pile, go to the Base Color Selector. I entered Browns, You probably want Reds. There's fourteen different reds. Unfortunately, there's forty different browns.

Like I said, not a big deal if you know the exact color you want. If you're not sure, by all means, have them send you samples. I'm looking at nine 2"x2" samples just from the browns and there's only one that I kinda like. The saga continues.

Must be a good feeling Jack to finally get to that point. Good for you!. ...
